Our client, a global energy company with operations across nearly 40 countries, is seeking an experienced Treasury professional to take on a leadership role within their Finance function. Based in their international delivery center, this position focuses on managing liquidity, foreign exchange risk, and regional treasury operations, while also leading a sizeable team. The role offers the opportunity to contribute to critical financial processes supporting business activities across Africa and Asia, as well as to drive strategic initiatives at a global level.

Job

Cash & Liquidity Management: Consolidate regional and local cash flow forecasts, monitor working capital requirements, optimize liquidity, and oversee interest expense and earnings.

Treasury Operations & Reporting: Prepare and analyze consolidated cash and debt reports, perform variance analysis, and support Group Treasury with insights into key drivers of performance.

FX Risk & Intercompany Loans: Identify and manage foreign exchange exposures, recommend structural improvements, ensure compliance with hedging policies, and oversee intercompany loan documentation.

Systems & Process Optimization: Support treasury transformation projects, including implementation of cash pooling structures, treasury management systems, and RFP initiatives across the region.

Team Leadership: Manage a team of around 15 members, including 2 managers, developing them into a best-in-class treasury organization through training, mentoring, and effective performance management.

Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with Group Treasury leadership, finance teams across regions, banks, and other business functions to ensure effective coordination and alignment.

Ad-hoc & Compliance: Contribute to audits, regulatory requirements, and Kyriba system deployment, while continuously driving process improvements.

Profile

- Education & Background: Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (CA or MBA preferred). Strong professional experience in Corporate Treasury, ideally with exposure to both middle and back-office functions.

- Technical Expertise: Hands-on experience with Treasury Management Systems (Kyriba or equivalent), strong knowledge of cash forecasting, liquidity management, and FX risk. Advanced Excel and MS Office proficiency.

- Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and develop teams of 10–15 members, including managers. Skilled at change management, with experience driving system implementations and process transformations.

- Analytical & Communication Skills: Strong numerical abilities, keen attention to detail, and the ability to translate complex financial data into clear insights for stakeholders. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

- Mindset: Proactive, adaptable, and solutions-oriented, with a strong sense of accountability and an appetite for innovation in treasury operations.
